Communicating with your tutor
The communication centre link on your home page of your course account (also called the Learning Support Environment), provides access to the various areas where you can communicate with your tutor.

Then just click on the my messages link

This system is kept secure so messages do not go via the Internet but stay within the Learndirect servers, no virus or spyware problems! All messages are also tracked and automatically addressed to make things a little better for us all. Your tutor will use this messaging system for the bulk of communications, so please check it regularly, thanks.
The communication centre link provides the following options:

Write a message opens the send message window, ready for you to write a message Just click on contact tutor to start a new message.
You can now complete the message ready to send.

Then you just click on the send message link in bottom right corner.

Your tutor will have sent you messages so please use the reply function to send a response back. All you need to do is click on the message title, read the message and click on reply. Then compose your response and click send! Job done!
Other functions

My messages displays your messages. You can choose the type of messages that are displayed.·
Message templates allows you to store message templates to use later when creating new messages.·
My signature text that you can choose to add to the end of your outgoing messages
Now fill out the signature you want to be put on each sent message, don’t forget the tick in the "add signature to outgoing messages", and then click Save.
